Walking with Hawks have a number of birds of prey that members bring along for Pembrokeshire events and demonstrations. They all have their own personalities and eccentricities, so here are their pictures and mini-biographies:

Twiggy

A 13 year old female Harris Hawk. Twiggy is the oldest of the team, an old hand at meeting the public she spent many years performing at Manor House Wildlife Park near Tenby.

Tyson

A 2 year old male Harris Hawk. Tyson is very responsive and always looking for that extra snack! Started off being a bit of a bully to the others, but has settled down nicely now.

Lady Penelope

A 6 year old female Harris Hawk. Lady Pen is a fussy so and so! She is very polite but finicky about what she eats, a real character.

Harriet

A 3 year old female Harris Hawk. Harriet came from the same breeder as Tyson, but they are not related. Harriet is an extremely powerful Harris Hawk and when in high speed pursuit of her chosen quarry she never gives up!

Sid

A 3 year old male Harris Hawk. Sid's life started off on the wrong foot. He and Harriet squabbled one afternoon which resulted in Sid being rushed to the vet. Now he only flies with Twiggy to regain his confidence.

Speedy

A 12 year old male Harris Hawk. Speedy is another "old timer" who went on loan to Manor Park where he met Twiggy. Now they are the best of friends, but that's all!
